The USC American Society of Civil Engineers will be hosting our first General Meeting on Thursday, September 8th at 6:30pm in ZHS352 . Join us to hear about USC ASCE's plans for this year, including the National Conference, PSWC (includes the design team competitions such as the Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, Environmental, Geotechnical, etc.), social events, professional opportunities, and more! Also, meet the 2016-2017 E-Board. Dinner from "Ono Hawaiian BBQ" will be served.

We are going to have a "Resume Review/ Mock Interview" session with Los Angeles Younger Member Forum (LA YMF) on Thursday September 22nd at 7PM in KAP209. This is a great opportunity to get prepared for the career fair in a few weeks.

We are also having our "Big Buddy Mixer" on September 15th at 6:30PM.

Free Headshots for all ASCE members on Sunday September 18th. Location and time TBD.

Career Series: Resume Review/ Mock Interview

The ASCE's Los Angeles Younger Member Forum (LA YMF) is coming to USC to prepare you for the upcoming career fair in October. We are accepting resumes from student by September 14th. You can email your resumes to uscasce@usc.edu, and get a feedback on September 22nd, along with an opportunity for a Mock Interview by LA YMF expert.

Big Buddy Mixer

We're excited to announce our 2016-2017 Big Buddy program. Freshmen and new transfer students will be paired with an upperclassman in ASCE who can give advice on everything from the best CE professors to where to find the best food on campus. Join us if you're interested in becoming or having a big buddy on Wednesday, September 15th at 6:30pm in KAP 209 to meet all of the potential big buddies!

First Environmental Design Team meeting

This is our chance to meet/ catch up with everyone, give a quick intro of our team (what we do, timeline, etc), nail down meeting times, and brainstorm activities we want to do this semester. They looking to recruit students and young professionals with backgrounds in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, and Sustainability to help on various volunteer tasks at the event. Each volunteer will be appointed a task that will require a minimum of 8 hours and will receive a complementary pass to the event (a $600 value). MPP Complimentary Luncheon/AE Conference

Morris Politch and Purdy is putting on a complementary luncheon on September 13.

The luncheon will feature speakers such as the State Architect, leaders in the seismic design world, and the winners of the SpaceX Hyperloop competition from MIT. It will be a half day event downtown at the LA Athletic Club from the morning through lunch on September 13.
