Hi ,

PSWC is only a week away! Design teams will be holding additional meetings throughout the week so be on the lookout for emails from your captains.  

Sports day is this Friday from 4-6 PM!  Show up at Cromwell Field (the one with track) for soccer and frisbee and bears oh my!  This is highly encouraged for anyone playing any of the sports at PSWC (which is basically everyone).  Immediately after sports day, there will be a MANDATORY PSWC Meeting in KAP 156.

Lastly, sign up for the Order of the Engineer ceremony if you are a senior! Information can be found below.

Everyone attending PSWC is required to attend one of the meetings.  There are two meeting times to choose from.  If you are absolutely unable to attend either meeting time please let us know as soon as possible and we will find time to meet with you.

Seismic Evaluation Methods and Retrofit of Existing Buildings Presentation

Join LA YMF for the next "Focus on Infrastructure" series presentation. Our upcoming infrastructure topic will focus on existing structural buildings with a presentation by Mr. Patrick Noll, P.E. from Arup. The presentation will cover the Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Buildings (ASCE 31-03 Tier 1 Evaluation) with reference to ASCE 41-13 and Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) assessment methodologies. The presentation will discuss the associated data management, screening of deficiencies, and performance evaluations considered to determine buildings with potential seismic risk based on seismic hazard, exposure, and structural vulnerability.
